Papilles: a French spirit Brunch in Neukölln

Papilles: Brunch en Neukölln - Comer en Berlin

Going brunch on weekends and doing it in Neukölln is becoming more and more a cliché nowadays. However, it is still a cliché that doesn´t upset us at all. Following this tradition we decided to visit Les Papilles some weeks ago. The  restaurant, is located in Flughafenstr. (closest U-Bahn station U8 Boddinstraße) and its food didn´t let us indifferent.

Despite of the fact that the restaurant has very good reputation in platforms like Foursquare or Tripadvisor, we decided to go spontaneously without a making any reservation. But luckily we got a table!

During brunch-time the restaurant has a classic but attractive menu. One of these menus that matches perfectly with whatever your mood that day is. You will find there classics like the eggs Benny with hollandaise sauce on English muffins, bacon and salad or my favorite one: avocado toast on sourdough bread with lime sauce and feta cheese. I have to admit that I was naughty and ordered extra bacon on it.

We recommend

Come hungry and let some space for dessert, a French toast indeed.

If you are like me and are to try to avoid sugary soft-drinks, order the homemade lemonade. It is just delicious and with fresh pressed lemon juice, carbonated water and honey.

Our next visit to Papilles will surely be for dinner. The wine menu caught our eye and so did the dinner menu. So this is only the first part of the article. We hope to update it soon with more delicious information. Until then…

Bon appétit!
